2011 Governors Arts Awards
Nominees

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts received 18 nominations for the 2011 Governors Arts Awards. Members of the Governors Arts Awards Selection Committee, appointed by State Arts Council Chairman Roger Brooks, recommended six of these nominees to Governor John Lynch and First Lady Dr. Susan Lynch, who is the Honorary Chairman of the awards program.

On April 27, 2011 at the State House, Governor John Lynch presented award recipients with an original commissioned award created by Andre Belanger of Berlin, NH. A reception at the Red River Theatres in Concord followed the ceremony, honoring all of the nominees.

The Governors Arts Awards are typically presented every two years to recognize outstanding, sustained accomplishments in arts education, arts patronage, arts support by a town or city, cultural access leadership, distinguished arts leadership, and lifetime achievement as artists.
